Astreylla privacy policy

Astreylla ("the app") lets Shopify merchants show a catalog of certified diamonds on their online store and sell them through their store's Shopify checkout. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used and how it is deleted.

Information we collect

• From merchants: the store's Shopify domain and the access token Shopify issues when the app is installed, plus the app settings the merchant chooses (for example, whether the diamond browser is switched on).
• From store visitors: a random browser identifier stored in the visitor's browser, and the diamonds they add to their selection. This identifier is not linked to a name, email address or any other personal detail.
• From orders: when a diamond order is paid, the Shopify order ID and number, the order total and the diamonds purchased. The app does not store customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses or payment details. Payment is handled entirely by Shopify checkout.

How we use it

We use this information only to run the app: to show the diamond catalog, to create the Shopify checkout for the diamonds a customer selects, and to place the matching order with the diamond supplier after Shopify confirms payment. We do not sell or rent information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Sharing

To fulfil a paid order, the app sends the diamond stock numbers and the Shopify order number to our diamond supplier. No customer personal information is sent to the supplier by the app.

Retention and deletion

When a merchant uninstalls the app, their access token is removed. Shopify then sends us a request to erase the store's data, and we delete that store's settings, diamond selections and order records. We also respond to Shopify's customer data requests and customer data erasure requests.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS and stored on access-controlled servers. Requests from Shopify are verified using Shopify's signatures.
